How I can help

Spinal Problems

Many people I treat are suffering from pain in their low back or neck and some have related pain in one or more of their limbs. Spinal pain has become dramatically more frequent in recent years and many people suffer recurrent episodes. Osteopathic treatment can reduce the frequency of these episodes or even stop them. As an osteopath I can advise you on appropriate exercises that can improve your back.

 Commonly seen problems include:

  • Strained spinal muscles, joints or ligaments

  • Slipped or injured discs

  • 'Trapped nerves' causing leg or arm symptoms

  • Sciatica (buttock and leg pain)

  • Headaches related to neck problems.

  • Tendinitis around the shoulder or wrist, often called repetitive strain injury

  • Tennis elbow

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Wrist strain

  • Cartilage problems in the knee

  • Early to moderate osteo-arthritis of hip or knee

  • Bursitis  affecting the  hip or shoulder

  • Muscle injuries in arms or legs

  • Ligament injuries e.g. knee or elbow.
